London, UK � 10 September 2008 � Sony Ericsson today announces 30 September 2008 as the official launch date for the highly anticipated Xperia� X1 � initially available to consumers in the UK, Germany and Sweden. The handset will be available in other markets across Europe, Asia and Latin America throughout Q4 2008.APAC

XPERIA is coming soon - SDK released!

Sony Ericsson has released the Sony Ericsson Beta SDK for Windows Mobile� 6.1 which is designed specially for the upcoming XPERIA phone. It means that the phone will be released soon and Sony Ericsson wants the developers to be ready for this. It also means that a lot of themes and tools will be available for all users of XPERIA with no delay, should they want to enhance the great look and capabilities of their phone and make them even more greater:)Here is the link to the SDK description on the Sony Ericsson web site:

So, will the long wait for XPERIA end soon? That's the question many people ask. Now we've got information that XPERIA will be available to public this fall.Our source says that one could buy a new XPERIA X1 phone in UK already on 30 october 2008. There will be no SIM lock as in iPhone. The price is estimated high, though: according to our data it will be $1140.

Two more shots of X1 which give us information about version of operating system and hardware:

So, what we have here is Windows Mobile 6.1 and Qualcomm 7200A CPU running at 528 MHz + 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM. That's 384 MB summary, looks like Sony Ericsson decided to round this number to 400 MB in its official specs for some marketing reasons:)
